Bruce McCrea has been Scoutmaster of Troop 180 since November, 1978. He has completed Wood Badge training and has served on several Wood Badge staffs. He has also been course director of many week-long junior leader training courses. He has been presented with the District Award of Merit, the United Methodist Church’s Cross and Flame Award, the International Scouter's Award, the Silver Beaver and the Silver Antelope. He was Scoutmaster of U.S. troops attending the 16th World Jamboree in Australia and the 18th World Jamboree in The Netherlands. His “Suggestions for Traveling Overseas with Boy Scouts” is part of the packet of information that is sent by the International Division of the Boy Scouts of America to groups that write inquiring about the possibility of traveling overseas. He was the chairman of the first two Michigan International Camporees in 1997 and 2000 and will be the chairman of the third Michigan International Camporee in the summer of 2004.
