Registering as 180 Assistant Scoutmasters
and Committee Members

Our troop's rechartering period is the easiest time of year to officially register as an Assistant Scoutmaster or Troop Committee Member.  You simply fill out an adult leader application and turn in the application and your $10 annual registration fee.  You can sign your application at the same time that you sign on the charter renewal forms and turn your application in with the charter renewal. (If you pay the $10 registration fee with a Cub Pack or in a district position, there is no additional cost to multiple register with our troop. You simply fill out the form.)

The positions:

Assistant Scoutmaster - If you are able to put in time working directly with the boys at troop meetings and/or campouts, this is the position you should select.

Troop Committee Member - If you are willing to help in a support capacity, this is the position you should select. One important aspect of the troop committee position is that each advancement board of review must be composed of at least 3 registered troop committee members.  Having more registered committee members will give our advancement co-chairs more people to select from in forming a board of review.

Former Troop 180 Scouts who are at least 18 but not yet 21 can register at a $10 annual fee either as youth members of Crew 180 or as Troop 180 Assistant Scoutmasters.  After they are 21, they must register as Assistant Scoutmasters of Troop 180 and/or as Associate Advisors of Crew 180.

Please consider officially registering in one of these positions.
